Finding and retaining top talent is instrumental to any organization’s
long-term growth strategy. As the business market becomes more competitive
and talented employees are in high demand, how does your business
stack up? At this innovative conference you will gain the tools necessary
to grow your company's human capital. In-depth sessions focus on practical
applications across a variety of topics, including:
The Changing World of Workforce Planning
Competition, new discoveries, inventions and changing global events
cause sudden changes in strategic direction. Traditional workforce
planning fails at delivering the right people for these needs as it
is based on an assumption that the future will look more or less like
the past. Learn what is driving a radical rethink of traditional workforce
planning & what you can do to move your organization forward.
Speaker: Kevin Wheeler, Global Learning
Resources, Inc.
Building Commitment to Drive Retention and Productivity
Facing one of these management challenges? Do more with less — Keep
up with the competition — Increase productivity — Retain good employees
— Implement change initiatives. Being a manager today is no small
feat. Many focus too much on the technical side and getting work done
— the doer approach. The secret is to broaden that focus and develop
and motivate staff — the coach approach. Learn a model for stimulating
employee commitment and productivity through coaching.
Speaker: Marty Brounstein, The Practical
Solutions Group
Managing Salary Expectations in a Competitive
Market
Offering an attractive compensation package is essential to recruiting
top talent and remaining competitive. Without a disciplined approach
to salary management, almost every company gets caught in the “Two-Class
Society” trap, in which newcomers consistently earn more than long-service
employees. In the extreme, this compensation dilemma leads to turnover
and significant morale and productivity problems. Explore the concept
of a competitive salary range and how to use it appropriately in various
recruiting situations.
Speaker: Brooke Green, Presidio Pay
Advisors

Make Online Recruiting Work for You
New online recruiting technologies and techniques are surfacing every
month. The well-funded marketing buzz would have us believe that the
business of recruiting is now easier than ever, but our hiring managers
and candidates have another opinion. Get beyond the hype and maximize
your recruiting effectiveness. Learn about methods that produce results
and those that don’t — with metrics and data to back it up.
Speaker: John Younger, Accolo
Identifying and Retaining Top Talent
According to Gallup, 75% of employees are disengaged from their jobs
and more than 70% are interested in changing jobs. The pool of most
desirable workers aged 25-34 is shrinking. With more people nearing
retirement and fewer people to replace them, retaining top talent is
critical for every organization. How do we identify and retain top talent?
Where does the responsibility lie? (hint: NOT in HR) Learn to identify
high potential employees and increase loyalty and retention.
Speaker: Michael Cooper, LEVER/edge
- Mid to Senior level HR professionals including managers, directors
and consultants involved with staffing and talent management within
their organization
