SUMMARY

Workplace bullying is both a severe health hazard and a high-risk conduct problem. Traditional human resource administrative systems and investigations are reactive, complaint based, and focus more on the victim while minimizing the environment. Although often legally required, these traditional practices use vital human and financial resources, fail to address root causes and mitigate the damages from workplace bullying, and fail to stop the culture from perpetuating these destructive behaviors.

This presentation is tailored for HR professionals who want a big picture understanding of workplace bullying, to learn why it's a massive problem, and who want to show their leadership with solutions that prevent and respond to workplace bullying.




ABOUT THE PRESENTER
Susan Forster, M.Ed, SPHR, SHRM-SCP,  founder of PositivityWork Consulting, is an expert HR professional who works with forward-thinking leaders to build positive and enlightened cultures. She has extensive experience working both as an employee and as an external consultant providing leadership development, coaching, and organizational change services. She has trained with the experts in this emerging field of destructive conduct and knows what it takes to have a respectful and thriving workplace. Susan is passionate about transforming accepted cultural and systemic practices that support bad behavior. Some of her services include specialized coaching for abrasive managers to achieve stellar interpersonal skills, culture surveys to prioritize hot spots, customized employee and team training to recognize what bullying conduct is and skillfully address it.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations received less than seven calendar days from the program date are not refundable. If cancellation within seven days of the program is unavoidable, a credit for a future event will be granted, minus a $75 administration fee ($15 for regional meetings). Credits must be used within one year of issue. A substitute attendee is allowed at the applicable NCHRA member/non-member rate in lieu of credit. Separate cancellation policies apply for the HR West Conference and Certification Preparation Courses.
