Despite your best efforts, any intervention you undertake may be seen as “taking sides.” Learn framework and tools to help employees get the education and guidance they need to improve their ability to shift from conflict to cooperation with minimal assistance.



ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Dr. Susan Bernstein is committed to transforming our attitudes about feeling our feelings at work. She trains professionals to understand and express their emotions in ways that generate healthier, more productive organizations. An executive coach and leadership consultant since 2001, she supports existing and emerging leaders to harness all of their strengths, including their emotions, to elevate their careers and make a greater impact in the world.

After earning an MBA, she held demanding leadership roles at Intel and Accenture and an educational startup. During that time, she struggled with her confidence, especially when faced with conflict. So she pursued a PhD in mind/body psychology, determined to understand the foundation of personal power in the workplace. When she discovered that small bodily shifts such as breathing, posture, and eye gaze lead to big shifts in psychological well-being and confidence, she developed a host of tools that have catapulted her clients to success.


Susan coaches individuals, facilitates workshops, is a keynote speaker, and writes about emotions at work. Her thought leadership has been featured in Fast Company, The Huffington Post, Thrive Global, and Psychology Today. She’s spoken for organizations including the DisruptHR, HR West, Zendesk’s Relate conference, UC Berkeley’s Women in Leadership Conference, and 100 Women in Finance.




CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations received less than seven calendar days from the program date are not refundable. If cancellation within seven days of the program is unavoidable, a credit for a future event will be granted, minus a $75 administration fee ($15 for regional meetings). Credits must be used within one year of issue. A substitute attendee is allowed at the applicable NCHRA member/non-member rate in lieu of credit. Separate cancellation policies apply for the HR West Conference and Certification Preparation Courses.
