Take a look at the impact of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) on employee benefits since its passage. Briefly review the history of ACA, a timeline of ongoing mandates and changes, administrative requirements and deadlines, as well as recent regulations and delays that affect both small and large group employers.

About the Presenters

Amy Byrne graduated from Santa Clara University with a B.A. in English in 1994 and is a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist Fellow. Amy has served her employee benefit clients in many roles over the years at The Vita Companies. She has 20 years of hands-on employee benefits experience, and assists clients in every facet of implementing an effective employee benefits plan -- from marketing and financial analysis to ongoing communication, daily administration and troubleshooting. Amy has served on the board of directors of the Peninsula Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, most recently as President of that organization. Amy lives in Los Altos with her husband and three children.

E.J. Nham joined The Vita Companies benefits team in June 2011. With a B.S. in physiology from the University of California, Davis, and five years of work experience in marketing and account management, she brings a unique perspective to the team and enjoys the daily interaction with clients. She is focused on creating a positive experience through education, providing excellent service to employers and employees alike in a wide range of benefits topics. E.J. believes in becoming an extension of the human resources team in a partnership to build and administer a comprehensive benefits package.

 

Cancellations received less than seven calendar days from the program date are not refundable. If cancellation within seven days of the program is unavoidable, a credit for a future event will be granted, minus a $75 administration fee ($15 for regional meetings and Webinars). Credits must be used within one year of issue. A substitute attendee is allowed at the applicable NCHRA member/non-member rate in lieu of credit. Separate cancellation policies apply for the HR West Conference and Certification Preparation Courses.
