Today’s technology and communication tools allow us to create meaningful and rewarding careers without depending on conventional employment, i.e.,where the nature of our work is defined by others. Instead, we can develop different work components, such as consulting, teaching, writing, design, craft making, or contract work blended together to match our individual needs creating a fulfilling and practical vocation.

Take a look at what it takes to craft your own successful career, one not defined by others, but that contains inspiring components defined by you. Examine key factors to consider in taking this path, and learn about nuts and bolts practical issues.  We will explore the start-up process, pacing entry, and when and how to take a nontraditional path to career fulfillment.
