About Year Up
Year Up’s (www.yearup.org) mission is to close the Opportunity Divide by providing young adults with the skills, experience, and support that will empower them to reach their potential through professional careers and higher education. Year Up is a one-year, intensive training program that provides low-income adults, ages 18-24, with a combination of hands-on skill development, college credits, and corporate internships. Since opening its doors in 2008, Year Up Bay Area has served more than 1,675 young adults and trains 400 students at the San Francisco and Silicon Valley campuses each year. Year Up’s model combines the development of marketable job skills, an educational stipend, an internship, college credits and support to help place young adults on a viable path to economic self-sufficiency.
100% of your donation goes directly to support Year Up’s education and internship program for young adults.
Cancellations received less than seven calendar days from the program date are not refundable. If cancellation within seven days of the program is unavoidable, a credit for a future event will be granted, minus a $75 administration fee ($15 for regional meetings). Credits must be used within one year of issue. A substitute attendee is allowed at the applicable NCHRA member/non-member rate in lieu of credit. Separate cancellation policies apply for the HR West Conference and Certification Preparation Courses.
