SUMMARY

From the Industrial Age to the Information Age, the focus has consistently been on quality and quantity, with the overarching goal of driving the bottom line. As technology fueled by Moore’s law* continues to change the way with work and play, it is becoming more and more evident that talent will be the critical differentiator going forward. People will call the shots - they will decide when and how to work and live. Technology will be the great enabler and massive shortages of skilled labor and technical expertise will shift the power from corporations to the people and this change in dynamic will usher in a new era, which I am aptly calling the “Human Age.” This inspiring talk will identify the forces behind this paradigm shift and offer ideas for how to get ahead of the curve. You will:

o    Understand the forces behind the paradigm shift
o    Learn how shortages of skilled labor and technical expertise will shift power from corporations to people
o    Learn tips to prepare and thrive in the new labor economy.

* Moore's law refers to an observation made by Intel co-founder Gordon Moore in 1965. He noticed that the number of transistors per square inch on integrated circuits had doubled every year since their invention. Moore's law predicts that this trend will continue into the foreseeable future.
