NLRB takes over employer email systems

The vote is in. The NLRB has ruled that employers cannot prohibit employees from using workplace email to organize a union, oppose employer policies or initiatives, or make demands for improvements in wages, benefits, or other working conditions. The rationale—employees’ National Labor Relations Act rights trump employers’ property rights.
