Call for Nominations - NCHRA Governing Board

An active search is underway for four NCHRA Governing Board members to begin a 3-year term in January, 2016. The Nomination Committee is inviting professionals to refer potential candidates (including self-referral) who are qualified and interested in this leadership opportunity. The deadline to submit nominations is November 11, 2015.

Practicing HR here requires skills beyond the ordinary, and a level of sophistication not found in other parts of the world. Since the call to “go west!” began hundreds of years ago, the journey has always resulted in innovation and leadership. With a role on our Governing Board, you’ll have the opportunity to help guide our association to new frontiers and ever-increasing relevance as we set a course for the second half of our first century.

Qualifications and experience sought include: a track record of organizational leadership; strategic vision; and excellent decision-making skills. With a goal of building an optimally effective Governing Board and in consideration of the talents represented by the six board members continuing their terms next year, preferred characteristics for 2016 candidates include: representation from, or expertise in, association management, finance, business development, academia, marketing, business law, and technology. Additionally, candidates need not reside in Northern California to qualify for consideration. If you know someone (including yourself) who meets these qualifications and is interested in serving, please nominate yourself or a candidate here no later thanNovember 11, 2015. Note: non-NCHRA members and professionals outside the HR profession are welcome to apply. Selected nominees will be asked to forward a resume and interviews will be scheduled. 

Next Steps
NCHRA and its Board of Directors appreciate your interest and assistance with this process. Within the next few weeks, the Nomination Committee will begin to review submissions and contact the candidates who best meet the needs of the organization to begin the interview process. First round of interviews will be held in November with candidate selection before the end of the year.
