Changes Name to Reflect Expanded Audience, Service Offering, and Contemporary Vision

The  Northern California Human Resources Association (NCHRA) today announced that its membership has voted by a significant majority to formally change its name. Effective January 1, 2018, the organization will become Next Concept Human Resources Association (NCHRA), embracing a new name that reflects the organization’s expanded audience and service offering, and its keen focus on the needs of modern HR professionals. (Read more...)

Uber fires 20 employees after investigation into complaints

San Francisco, California  — 6/06/17
 
Uber announced Tuesday it had taken action by firing 20 employees after a public relations firestorm over sexual harassment and discrimination allegations.

Sources told ABC7 the employees fired included senior executives who worked out of the ridesharing company's San Francisco offices. "It shows me that Uber is trying to make good on its promises from earlier in the year," CNET Reporter Dara Kerr said. (Read more...)

for three new Governing Board members to begin a 3-year term in January 2017. 

An active search is underway for three NCHRA Governing Board members to begin a 3-year term in January 2017. NCHRA Appoints New CEO

Northern California Human Resources Association sets course for growth and value in second half of its first century of operation with the appointment of new CEO, Greg Morton.

The Northern California HR Association (NCHRA), one of the nation’s largest regional HR associations, today announced the appointment of Greg Morton as Chief Executive Officer effective June 1, 2015. Mr. Morton brings 20 plus years of relevant industry experience to his new role, having most recently served as Chief Marketing Officer at Great Place to Work®.  Mr. Morton will operate from the NCHRA headquarters in San Francisco and oversee the association’s 12 regions throughout Northern California.
