Stay on top of employment trends and join us as we dive into all the opportunities to leverage and threats to avoid with remote work for your organization. Consider options and flexibility as talent acquisition and retention tools, allowing your organization to attract a hidden workforce (e.g., stay-at-home moms, retirees, etc.), or help your current employees find better work-life balance, thereby improving the productivity and well-being of your employees.


Going remote changes how you measure work and how you structure your work - you need to have a clear system in place for this to work.


Traditional brick and mortar offices are made for extroverts, usually full of public recognition and colleagues tooting their own horns. Introverts tend to thrive in remote settings, as they can reduce outside stimulation and recharge their energy. As business needs allow, flexibility can allow employees to pursue other passions, take care of family, usually find better work-life balance, and still get their work done.

Each session will review best practices, practical tips, and stories from real company success. As a participant, you can expect to:

 

·       Uncover the top seven things that really make a difference at work.

·       Learn how to better budget time and effort to make improvements.

·       Develop a personal plan for WTF (“where to focus”).

·       Capitalize on your culture’s strengths.

·       Improve engagement and retention strategies, with a focus on Millennials.

·       Overcome barriers to listening, such as internal and external distractions, and cognitive biases.

·       Develop formal and informal communication practices for improving listening.

·       Leverage purposeful listening to build trust, teamwork, and commitment.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations received less than seven calendar days from the program date are not refundable. If cancellation within seven days of the program is unavoidable, a credit for a future event will be granted, minus a $75 administration fee ($15 for regional meetings). Credits must be used within one year of issue. A substitute attendee is allowed at the applicable NCHRA member/non-member rate in lieu of credit. Separate cancellation policies apply for the HR West Conference and Certification Preparation Courses.
