SUMMARY

Learn practical, applicable skills for creating performance goals that actually work. Vague goals, goals that really belong to someone else, goals that only have numbers in them – these are examples of a planning effort that does not drive performance or individual accountability.

The Results-Focused Goal is clear and specific, measurable, and it defines the result or outcome the person will achieve.  A team member with a set of plans done this way knows exactly what the stakes are, has had some say in defining the results, and is able to take their own measurements. No longer will you hear, “That’s not what I wanted!” or “I did too finish that goal!” because you will have agreed up front on expectations and where we will find the evidence.

After joining, you will have discovered:
1)     A new twist on “SMART” goal setting and what it means

2)     How to define results for a chunk of performance

3)     How to define the measurement(s) for the result

4)     How to create the plan that drives initiative, accountability, and results
