No doubt about it, the world of recruiting has changed. No longer can you post an opening on Craigslist and passively sit by while great resumes flood in. Today, it’s a “buyers” market. One in which candidates actively seek out companies they admire and want to work for. For this reason alone, it is critical that your brand truly reflects who you are as an organization. People are also changing how they work, i.e., part-time, contract, job sharing, remote work, etc. Is your organization keeping pace?

At the Talent Acquisition and Selection Conference, you’ll get strategies for building innovative recruiting processes that attract, hire and retain the best candidates, plus the tools, resources and solutions you need to evolve your human capital strategies.

8:00-8:30am: Registration & Opening Remarks

8:30-9:30am: Elevating the Candidate Experience: What Are They Saying About You?
Elaine Orler, Chairman, Talent Board
Candidate reviews, both positive and negative, play a significant role in an organization’s success - especially in today’s increasingly consumer-driven market. The ability to provide a transparent and insightful candidate experience gives any organization a significant boost. Leveraging the Talent Board’s 2015 benchmarking study and CandE Awards, you’ll identify candidate experience trends and behaviors, and discover ideas for improving communication with candidates to establish a consistent, positive experience. Learn how to lead initiatives that focus on how candidates are treated and strengthen employment brands.

9:30-9:45am: Break

9:45-11:00am: Staffing Challenges (and Solutions) of the Blended Workforce
Sunil Bagai, CEO, Zenith Talent Corporation
The blended workforce is here to stay. Employers are now hiring record numbers of contingent workers and relying increasingly on a mix of full-time and temporary employees to achieve their goals. But building and managing this blended workforce presents challenges on almost every front. Learn how to think about (and hire) talent differently and scale quickly to meet marketplace demands. Plus, take an in-depth look at today’s most powerful staffing models, i.e. outsourcing, offshoring, managed service providers, crowdstaffing, and more.

11:00-11:15am: Break

11:15am-12:30pm: Talent Drives Performance: What’s Driving Your Recruiting Process?
Daniel Chait, CEO, Greenhouse
Talent is the number one driver of company performance, but most companies struggle with effective hiring. How do you streamline recruiting efforts to achieve better, more sustainable results? It’s time to reconsider the recruiting lifecycle - from sourcing to selection. Discover the benefits of recruiting optimization as it relates to your organization, and walk away with a strategy for adding value to your hiring processes using data to build better interview questions, write more effective job descriptions and create organizational alignment.

12:30-1:45pm: Networking Lunch

1:45-3:00pm: Creating and Delivering on the ROI of Talent Acquisition and Selection
Victor Assad, Strategic Human Resources Consulting
Talent acquisition and selection works best when management understands that everyone is a recruiter, their role in the process, and the ROI of getting it right. Discover techniques for successfully attracting and selecting candidates who meet the skill and cultural requirements of your unique business, and learn how to analyze key workforce and business indicators to build a proposal and win over reluctant management. You’ll leave the session with a completed blueprint for upgrading or implementing your own talent acquisition and selection process.

3:00-3:15pm: Break

3:15-4:30pm: Recruiting “The King” - Breakthrough Social Strategies
Jim Stroud, Sr. Director, Recruiting Strategies, Randstad Sourceright
"The King" is the best at what he does, surpasses all expectations and is a strong contributor to organizational success. You want to hire the best, but are you really willing to do something different? In this fun session, you’ll take a look at enterprises who broke free from standard recruiting practices and scored a LOT of hires, plus discover how to use video, mobile and social media tips to gain an unfair advantage over your competition. Bring a sense of humor, materials for taking notes and an open mind.
