Work-life balance is a dead concept. Instead of promoting this concept, we should encourage and foster integration. Balance implies we can’t have it all, but integration suggests coordinating, blending and bringing elements of work and life into a whole and complete experience.

We are dealing with different times and a different culture; one that blurs the lines between work and home life (now that we are reachable through our technology 24/7). Work is a part of life, so life should be a part of work.

Identify top stressors that are keeping your workplace down, and offer simple solutions to support employees in being effective and purposeful. You'll leave the webinar with initiatives you can start right away.

Karen Nelson is a Certified Work Site Wellness Coordinator with Progressive Benefit Group. She is focused on the strategic development of wellness plans that will promote health, activity, emotional/spiritual and financial wellness which help lower medical costs and increase productivity. She holds a degree in Psychology from the University of California Santa Barbara, as well as a teaching credential. In addition to her wellness certification, she is a D License soccer coach, spin instructor and is a competing Triathlete. She is “living the dream” collaborating with employers to understand their culture, needs and goals around well-being in the workplace and producing a return on investment for employers.
