NCHRA Announces New Recruiting Conference Advisory Council
Wendy Montgomery, is the Human Resources Program Manager and a member of the corporate HR Leadership Team at Southland Industries, located in Union City, CA. Wendy currently focuses on managing the strategic implementation and coordination of workforce planning, special talent management projects and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices. Before joining Southland in 2014, Wendy spent time in global human resource roles at Watts Constructors in Guam and Bank of America Military Banking in Okinawa, Japan. She also, proudly continues to serve as an Air Force Reservist since 2004. By joining NCHRA Recruiting Advisory Council she hopes to bring awareness and education to veteran, military spouse and skilled trades recruiting efforts. Wendy Montgomery graduated from Azusa Pacific University earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a minor in organizational leadership studies.
Charles Reader, MBA, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, is a Human Resources executive with nearly twenty years of experience answering the call for strategic partnership in human resources and talent management. Currently, he is the Chief Talent Officer at the California Health Care Foundation, where he leads human resources and talent management for the organization. He is responsible for strategic leadership and operational direction, ensuring consistent and fair application of policies, philosophies, and organization-wide systems to accomplish the mission of the Foundation.
Prior to joining CHCF, he was Vice President of Human Resources for LEWIS Global Communications’ US region, leading the overall human resources and talent management operations for more than 200 employees across four offices.
Corissa Robey helps support all HR functions within her Business Unit of Asilomar Conference Grounds as the Human Resources Manager. She designs and develops programs, policies, and procedures to manage the following HR Functional Areas: Staffing, Training, Safety, Compliance, Employee Relations, HRIS, CBA implementation, etc. Her passions include employee engagement, volunteering, mentoring, health & wellness, reading, traveling, etc. She is a member of SHRM, NCHRA, CCHRA, and more. She is ecstatic to return to work at Asilomar; where she began her HR career as an HR Coordinator.
has been working in the Silicon Valley for the past 15 years. While her primary roles have been in Human Resources (with a strong focus on technical recruiting), she has experience in associated operations and customer support. Her industry knowledge spans from mobile, biotech, materials science and hardware engineering, fiber optics and most recently robotics. She has helped some rapid growth start ups in the silicon valley, bringing in over 20+ employees in less than a year at Tactus Technology and CellScape during her tenure. Amanda attended CalState East Bay for her HR Certification.
Eric Shangle, Director or People Operations, brings over 20-years of experience in technology, science, hospitality, and government to Figure Eight. He acts as a strategic partner for growing the company and in making it a “great place to work.” He recently led the People Operations functions at Enjoy and ZeroCater taking each through hyper-growth phases and early funding rounds while focusing the team on culture and performance.
His time as a naval officer is the foundation for his perspective on coaching and developing teams. Eric is a former Meteorologist/Oceanographer with an M.B.A. from the Naval Postgraduate School, an M.A. in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma, and a B.S. in Ocean Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy. He has lived and traveled all over the world but calls San Francisco home where is he active in the local community.
